Neutralization Buffer

Neutralization Buffer (100 mL)

The neutralization buffer is a 1 M Tris, HCl solution at pH 9.1. The buffer is the standard used to neutralize the pH after using an acidic elution buffer in micropanning experiments. The neutralization buffer is versatile and can be in most protocols where the pH of a phage solution must be adjusted from acidic to netral.

Reagents

- 12.11 g Tris, HCl

- NaOH to adjust the pH

Protocol

- Dissolve 12.11 g Tris, HCl in 80 mL H2O.

- Adjust the pH to 9.1 using NaOH and add H2O to a final volume of 100 mL.

- Autoclave and store at room temperature.
