NZY Medium (1 L)
NZY is used as a the routine rich growth medium for E. coli, specifically the K91BluKan strain used for the propagation of filamentous phage.
Reagents
10 g NZ amine
5 g Yeast extract
5 g NaCl
Protocol
- Dissolve 10 g NZ amine, 5 g yeast extract, and 5 g NaCl in 1 L water.
- Adjust pH to 7.5 with NaOH
- Autoclave and store at room temperature.
