E. coli CJ236
E. coli CJ236 cells generate ssDNA for site-directed mutagenesis using the Kunkel method. These cells replace a portion of thymine(T) in their DNA with deoxyuracil(dU). The resulting ssDNA can be effectively utilized for mutagenesis. CJ236 is dut- ung- and carries an F-factor with a chloramphenicol resistance selectable marker.
