f88-4 cys6 cyclic peptide phage display library (16-mer)

The f88-4 cys6 cyclic 16-mer peptide phage display library is built from the f88-4 filamentous phage vector ( AF218363.1 ) by replacing a synthetic 21 bp stuffer sequence with frame-restoring 48 bp random oligo nucleotides. The resulting phage particles express the wild-type gene VIII and an artificial gene rVIII. The 16-mer foreign peptide insert is expressed on rVIII. The expressed peptides contains cysteines at positions 5 and 12 (XXXXCXXXXXXCXXXX) constraining the peptide in a cyclic conformation under oxidative conditions. The f88-4 phage display libraries maintain E. coli infectivity and do not require a helper phage for assembly and release of virions.
