E. coli MC1060
E. coli MC1061 is a highly stable host for electroporation and CaCl2 transformation with high efficiency. T his strain is Lac – and is thus not a suitable host for vectors containing the lac promoter. MC1061 cannot metabolize arabinose and galactose.
