Filamentous phage display vector fUSE5

The fUSE5 phage display vector is derived by insertion of a synthetic 14 bp stuffer sequence into gene III of the filamentous phage vector fd-tet ( AF217317.1 ). The frameshifting stuffer must be replaced with a frame-restoring peptide insert to express pIII and enable E. coli infectivity. The fUSE5 vector can be used to create new phage display peptide libraries by replacing the 14 bp stuffer with random oligonucleotides.
